Many of us have most likely seen and fallen in love with those pictures of beautifully designed, luxurious pool villas, and it sure is a dream coming true to stay in one of these. Especially so, when the pool offers an amazing view of the sunset, a valley, or the sea. We’ve seen amazing and some best value pool villas in many countries around the world.
However, the country where you will most likely find the most affordable, and best value pool villas with a touch of luxury is…
Indonesia!
Thailand should be close second, but it is getting more expensive there and Indonesia simply has a lot more diversity to offer when it comes to pool villas. They’re a real thing in Indonesias “hotel culture”.
Not only in Bali you’ll find heaps of hotels that offer pool villas, be it solely or partly, and most of them are more affordable than you’d think. While in the Maldives or other typical honeymoon destinations it’s hard to find a pool villa under 1,000 USD per night, you can stay in one in Indonesia for a whole week or even two!
Personally, we haven’t yet had the chance to properly travel Indonesia, but we have been to Bali, Lombok and Gili Trawangan. While the island is awesome, with many budget options to stay at, we’ve decided to treat ourselfes to the Kelapa Pool Villas. For just over 100 Dollars per night including a really nice breakfast served by our own pool every morning, it was a fantastic experience. You can see our villa on the title picture of this post.

While this one is a bit more expensive, you’ll actually get a massive two-storey house which sleeps five people, so therefore it’s still extremely good value pool villa. For about US$45 on top, you’ll be in an even larger one which sleeps 8 people and you can have your own pool party in there. For US$30 a night per person with breakfast included, these are all great value pool villas!

Even if you’re after pure luxury villas, Indonesia is still the place to go to. One of these huge amazing hillside villas in Ubud with their own private infinity pool overlooking the valley would cost US$272 per night for three people with breakfast. So this is really not too bad if you consider what you get!
