Before we jump right in. What’s the big deal with Facebook Groups for Bloggers? Why should you join them & what should you expect?

Facebook Groups are communities of people who are invited or accepted into this group by the owner/creator. Within these groups, depending on the niche, guidelines and rules, you’re able to ask for feedback, advice and questions you have and connect with others that share similar goals to you. Many even let you promote your social media channels and new blog posts in daily threads (like ours!). But with the heaps of groups out there, how can you tell which ones are best? Here are some of the best ones we’ve come across:

Facebook Groups for bloggers can be a real hit or miss, we’ve seen the good, the bad and the downright ugly. When seeking out great blogging communities, we always look for more support than spam. We’ve personally joined groups simply for the fact that it had a ton of members, only to find out that less than half were ever really active-or people were just spamming the page for likes. It can be tempting to join as many as possible when you first start, but to truly gain knowledge and loyal readers, a select few might be the best option, therefore not overwhelming yourself. It’s better to be truly engaged in a few groups than sporadic and inconsistent in a lot of them.

Thank you so much for this post. I’m so glad I stumbled across it. I just started a blog last week. But I literally do not know anyone who blogs. It’s so overwhelming at the start. I’m so glad to see there are blogger communities. It’s a really good reminder I’m not alone.

    Thanks again!
