When you think of swaying palm trees, pristine beaches and a friendly local atmosphere you think that’s pretty much paradise right? Well then I guess you could say that’s Fiji for you! Located 1730 miles from the Australian coast in the Pacific Ocean, you can sit back, relax and enjoy ‘Fiji Time’. The main island of Viti Levu, is home to the capital and many luxurious resorts and activities, whereas the smaller islands (nearly 900!) are home to secluded beaches and smaller local communities.

Fiji has been a hub for backpackers splitting up their journey from Australia to the USA for years, making it an affordable tropical destination. With many hostels and lodges for money conscious travellers and backpackers. Fiji is without a doubt the best budget island in the Pacific, and one of the best for young travellers!
