If you’re looking to generate some extra income, having a travel blog could be an excellent long term income stream. However, it’s not easy to turn a travel blog into a major income stream, and it does take a lot of time and loving care into producing quality content that people will read.
If you’re wanting to start a travel blog, we highly recommend Bluehost.com as your web-host. You can start with them for as low as $3.49 a month, plus you get a free domain if you sign-up with our link!

Hostels are always look for new staff willing to work some hours a day. Yannick worked at a hostel for 4 months in Thailand and was given free accommodation and food. This is a great way, if you’re short of money but want to stay at a place for a while, as they’ll give you free accommodation and sometimes food too. Not a bad way to save money when travelling!

If you can speak another language, this can be a great way to earn an income on the road. English isn’t the only language people want to learn. If you can speak French, Thai, Portuguese or anything else? Look for jobs or set up your own classes by advertising at popular hangouts such as cafes.

Travel Writing

If you’re good at writing articles or blog posts, there are hundreds of opportunities out there to write about your experiences and the destinations you visit. These can then be published on websites or online magazines, which they will pay for your post. If you write quality articles, other larger online sites may recognise you, and in no time you can start earning a solid income from writing about what you love.

Virtual Assistant (VA)

In this day and age, there are hundreds of busy digital nomads and online entrepreneurs hire VA’s. We are in a Facebook Group, and not exaggerating, every day someone asks a question about where they can find a VA for their business. A virtual assistant manages daily tasks, such as replying to emails, scheduling appointments, research, blog writing etc. This is great if you have a background in this area, and can pay really well too!

Write an E-Book

If you’re passionate about teaching and helping others, and you’ve got heaps of knowledge in a specific field, why not put that to good use? Without a doubt, demand for information is huge, and people love E-Books. Whether you’re writing a ‘How to’ Guide to a destination Guide for a specific place/country. They’ll always be people out there wanting to learn more. Making money with an eBook is easy, because it comes with low investment costs. Once written, it can provide a passive income for a period of time. You can literally start writing now, what are you waiting for?

Really well written. I have quite a large account on Instagram (@mikecleggphoto) so I’m going to check out those influencer sites you mentioned.

Also interesting about Bluehost, I have heard them mentioned a few times before. I’m currently using GoDaddy who I highly dislike so I may change providers in May, if I do I’ll try and remember to use your link.

    Thanks,
    Mike
