Most famous for its buzzing metropolitan city, Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia is home to stunning white sandy beaches including Langkawi and Pangkor Island. Also known for its dense jungles on the island of Borneo, great for those who love trekking and experiencing new and unique wildlife including the Orangutan.

Kuala Lumpur has become a hub for backpackers travelling in and out of South East Asia, due to cheap airfares on Malaysia Airlines and AirAsia. It is one of the more expensive countries in the area, however it is still worth a visit, and make sure to head up the iconic Petronas Twin Towers during sunset to view the city skyline from above. However, it is definitely worth exploring Malaysia beyond the capital, especially if you love trekking and beautiful beaches.
