How to get 16% off every hotel you book in the future

Sharing is caring!

You might think, 16% off every hotel doesn’t sound that great, compared to what you usually hear in promotional e-mails that you receive. 50% off here, 70% off there, secret sale, exclusive for members, bla bla bla…Rubbish! Almost all of these offers coming from online travel agencies are absolutely misleading and just not true. Sometimes you’ll find a promo code which actually gives you between 5 and 20% off the final price, which is good. But you’ll have to be lucky to have a promotion running when you want to book.

There is one very positive exception which we only figured out recently. This website is called Cheaptickets.com and is owned by Expedia, so very reliable. Cheaptickets.com offers a promotion code every week, with no exceptions, for almost all hotels (apart from major chains), and for a generous travel period. That means, whether you want to go tomorrow, in a couple of weeks, or in half a year, to South Africa, Indonesia or Greece, you can make use of the code! That is another very rare thing, as usually the best promotions have strict limitations.

We’ll keep you updated on the current promotion code for every week, so check back regularly! There will always be a valid code to use!

This weeks code: OUTTAHERE

  • Save: 16%
  • Use by: 17th September, 2017
  • Travel until: 31st March, 2018

You can redeem this code for any hotel reservation on Cheaptickets.com. Like with every voucher, major chains like Hilton, Marriott, Accor, Starwood etc. are excluded. However, smaller chains and luxury hotels like Four Seasons or Banyan Tree Hotels are eligible!

So how does it work?

For the full instructions on how to search for the best value hotel, click here (coming soon).

Once you’ve completed that part, you go to Cheaptickets.com and search for your desired hotel. If it is the same price or only slightly more expensive than elsewhere, go ahead and click through to the room you want. Next, you’ll be forwarded to the payment page and this is where you put your code in. Just above the credit card details, you’ll find this:

cheaptickets-code-1

Click on the blue writing and the coupon code box will appear:

cheaptickets-code-2

If the hotel is eligible for redeeming coupons (most likely, unless part of a major chain), a success message will show and tell you how much you save:

cheaptickets-code-3

You’ll see your amount being deducted from your grand total on the upper right hand side of the page:

Now, do the same for a luxurious stay and your savings are tremendous! Unfortunately, they cap the code at 150 USD off, but you can just do two bookings for example, if you want to max out the savings.

After all, this is one of the best offers we’ve seen, because you can book anything, anytime, anywhere, and always save a fifth on the total – yes, even on the taxes! However, don’t get too excited to not look anywhere else, because in some cases the hotel itself might be running a special offer, or other booking platforms might just be selling it for cheaper. That’s not the case very often, but it does happen, so keep in mind to look elsewhere.
