St Lucia is a tropical island paradise, great for both romantic getaways and family vacations. The island is a little less developed than its other Caribbean neighbours, but still boasts beautiful white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. St Lucia is a great destination for active travellers wanting to explore the real Caribbean, with hot springs just outside the small town of Soufriere, making it one of the main attractions to visit on the island.
The island has two dramatically shaped tapered mountains called The Pitons, on its west coast. Surrounded by rainforest, volcanic beaches, luxury resorts and hiking trails. Beautiful trails can lead to waterfalls and immense gardens full of wildlife. St Lucia is undoubtably the ‘tropical’ island in the Caribbean.
